Prior to the next elections season, the American people have seen more and more controversy surrounding the presidential candidates, NBCNews.com reported.

From Hillary Clinton to Mike Huckabee and upcoming presidential contender Jeb Bush, who is set to announce his candidacy June 15, the 2016 batch of candidates have found themselves surrounded by scandal and controversy.

Clinton has been in the epicenter of the media storm from her husband’s presidency and subsequent cheating scandal that that led to his impeachment to the recent reveal that she deleted several personal emails that she believed were in the scope of her personal privacy.

Huckabee has publicly supported self-confessed child molester Josh Duggar and made comments stating he wished he could have said he was transgender in high school “when it came time to take showers in PE.”

Bush has already raised tens of millions of dollars in election funds — despite having not officially announced his candidacy.

These three candidates and their scandals make up only a fraction of the 14 total presidential candidates from both major political parties. With the exception of Marco Rubio and Bernie Sanders, every White House hopeful covered by political media has taken a hit.

It seems as if this time around, the presidential candidate who is most fitting to fill the Oval Office will be the one who can survive the never-ending public shame parade from the media and, more importantly, the voters.
