Maybe we should call this guy the GQ Bandit.
“He has a really nice shirt with a tie. He has high-end sunglasses and a manicured goatee,” said Phoenix Police Sgt. Darren Burch. “He’s really GQ-looking. You wouldn’t think this guy was doing a bank robbery but modeling.”
The robber hit the Compass Bank at Southern and Alma School in Mesa on Monday, July 1, 2013. It was just after 9:00 a.m.
“This guy is very violent,” said Burch. “He’s brandishing a handgun, yelling at people, screaming at people, threatening people and waving this gun around.”
Our next case is also in Mesa and was also very frightening for the victims.
On Thursday, June 20, 2013, at about 6:30 p.m., two men forced their way into a home near University and Extension. Inside the house were two adult women and a 7-year-old girl.
Burch said the suspects pointed a gun at the little girl.
No one was hurt, but the home invaders did steal a bunch of stuff before taking off in a black or dark-colored Mercedez SUV.
