Main Street Minute: Upscale burger spot in Gilbert is hiring

• The National Cancer Institute awarded the University of Arizona cancer center a $1.8 million grant to continue training researchers. The five-year grant will fund the training of six predoctoral and two postdoctoral students.

• Fox Restaurant Concepts is ready to staff its new Zinburger location in Gilbert’s Heritage Marketplace with 70 workers in positions such as bartender, cook and dishwasher. A job fair runs Monday through Oct. 11. Interviews will be conducted on site, so bring a resume.

• The ribbon-cutting ceremony for Freak-n Brewing Company in Peoria is set for Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Tours will be available, there will be food trucks, games and door prizes.
