Main Street Minute: Tweak those business basics at workshops

KTAR’s Main Street Minute focuses on local businesses that are hiring, businesses that are opening and events across the community. Each weekday these stories air on KTAR at 7:27 a.m. More information can be found below.
• The Arizona Nonprofit Academy has launched several business-focused workshops. The workshops will emphasize how to write a press release, the basics of social media and how to bring in sponsors for events. Classes start at about $40, and last around two hours. The first class is Tuesday night.
• Another build-your-own-pizza restaurant is coming. California-based Mod Pizza is set to open in Gilbert next month. The 2,400-square-foot location in the San Tan Village shopping center allows customers to build personal pizzas and bake them in just a few minutes.
