Talk about a Facebook folly: A Florida man’s Facebook comments led to his arrest by the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.
According to ABC News, Matthew Oliver, 23, was wanted for stealing a wallet from a man outside a dollar store in December.
PCSO posted a picture of Oliver hoping to find the suspect but when Oliver saw the picture he took it upon himself to comment. He posted:
“You guys are going to pay for… believing a crackhead and… slandering my name, Pasco County has nothing but fools investigating crimes for them that’s why these mix up[s] happen.”
Oliver’s comment was shared by over 400 people, creating enough buzz to catch Oliver.
On Friday, Police found Oliver outside his mother’s house and arrested him.
