An apartment parking garage collapsed near Houston, injuring nearly three dozen people Thursday.
Authorities said the floor of a home’s detached garage in Katy, Texas, collapsed while people were gathered for function. There were reports of many as 125 people in the house, but West I-10 Fire Department spokesman Tim Thomas said authorities were unsure of how many were in the room.
He said 36 people were taken to hospitals. Three people suffered “urgent” but not critical injuries, while the others mostly suffered minor injuries.
