3rd NJ man gets prison in white supremacist attack

Aug 9, 2013, 8:14 PM

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) – A third New Jersey man is being sent to prison for his role in an attack by white supremacists on two men of Egyptian descent.

Federal prosecutors say 31-year-old Christopher Ising, of Waretown, was sentenced Friday to 33 months in prison and three years of supervised release.

He had pleaded guilty to committing a hate crime assault and conspiracy in a New Year’s Eve 2011 attack in the town of Sayreville.

Authorities alleged he was a member of a white supremacist group known as Atlantic City Skins.

Prosecutors say Ising and two men who belonged to the group Aryan Terror Brigade went out looking for non-whites to attack after attending a white supremacist “meet and greet.”

The victims were punched in the head, one with brass knuckles.

Ising’s co-defendants got prison sentences at hearings Wednesday.
