CHICAGO (AP) – Airlines have canceled nearly 1,000 flights at Chicago airports because a winter storm is forecast to bring up to 10 inches of snow to northern Illinois.
The Chicago Department of Aviation said Tuesday that more than 770 flights were canceled at O’Hare International Airport. Airlines have canceled more than 215 flights at Midway International Airport. No significant delays were reported at either airport.
City aviation officials urge travelers to check their flight status with airlines.
