Elephants at Phoenix Zoo play with ‘Minions’

Campers at the Phoenix Zoo created behavioral enrichment tools inspired by the film “Minions” and gave them to teh zoo’s resident elephants.
Boxes are a common form of behavior enrichment for many zoo animals. Three boxes were decorated minions and filled with food for the elephants, like peanut butter, cereal and lettuce.
The elephants were happy to tear into these boxes, which made for some great photos to get your weekend started on a cute note.
