PHOENIX — We may be inching closer and closer to summer, but Mother Nature is keeping things cool in the Phoenix area.

The National Weather Service is calling for a cooling trend over the next few days that may culminate in showers on Friday.

The lower temperatures will move into the area Thursday. The forecast may call for a high of 86 degrees, but it will be accompanied by breezes.

Friday’s high is expected to be just 74 degrees, with the best chance of rain coming during the evening hours. Also, you may need to break out a hoodie, because the low is 55 degrees.

Saturday will have a slight chance of sprinkles during the morning and things will stay nice — think a high of 78 degrees.

The cooling trend will come to a close Sunday, when the forecast calls for a high of 86 and temperatures could climb into the 90s by the middle of next week.

We want to hear from you.
