Not only will the Arizona Diamondbacks boast a few new faces on the field in 2015, but you can expect to see plentiful new offerings inside Chase Field, as well.

Opening Day

It won’t just be an ordinary Opening Day when the Diamondbacks host the San Francisco Giants in the first of a three-game series.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. Monday, but festivities will start roughly three hours prior. The Diamondbacks’ Opening Day Street Festival will begin a 4 p.m. in front of the Gila River Casinos Plaza along 4th and Jackson streets. Food trucks, D-backs inflatables and other activities will be on site. The Walkens, a Valley-based cover band, will perform at 5 p.m. on the Game Seven Grill stage.

MLB Commissioner Emeritus Bud Selig will make an appearance at Chase prior to the game, and 2015 National Baseball Hall of Fame inductee Randy Johnson will throw out the first pitch.

Additionally, “American Idol” winner Taylor Hicks will perform the National Anthem, and two F-16s from Luke Air Force Base are scheduled to fly over the stadium.

As fans enter the ballpark, D-backs staff members will hand out 40,000 magnets of the team’s 2015 schedule.
