PHOENIX — Hardworking parents who would like to go back to school have an option in the Most Inspirational Parent Award.

The Boys and Girls Club is partnering with University of Phoenix to help three parents see their dreams come true, taking nominations for the scholarship award.

Larianna Forsythe, a spokeswoman for the after-school organization’s metro Phoenix branch, did not wait to be nominated and she won one of the full-ride scholarships.

She eventually graduated with a masters in business.

Forsythe said she, too, was a working mom with no time to go back to college but she was able to finish her degree taking classes at extremely early hours.

“If I had to follow a traditional schedule, I just simply wouldn’t have been able to do it,” she said.

Both mothers and fathers are eligible.

Nominations end March 17.

We want to hear from you.
