LISTEN: Jodi Arias' Re-Trial Testimony

PHOENIX — A transcript of the
closed-door testimony that convicted killer Jodi Arias gave two months ago at
her sentencing retrial was released Tuesday.

Maricopa County Judge Sherry Stephens had cleared the courtroom of media and spectators for the first witness called by Arias.

Stephens explained the then-secret witness wouldn’t testify
unless the courtroom was closed.

News organizations protested the decision.

An appeals court threw out Stephens’ ruling, identified Arias as the witness
and ordered a transcript of her testimony be released.

Among the highlights:

Arias was convicted in May 2013 of the murder her former boyfriend. The jury couldn’t agree whether she should be sentenced to life in prison or
receive the death penalty.

The sentencing retrial began in October.
