PHOENIX — Two suspects were arrested Thursday in New Mexico on suspicion of killing a man on Tempe’s Mill Avenue, a popular destination near Arizona State University.

Tempe police said 21-year-old Errun Scroggins was shot several times Nov. 28 after arguing with Dean Blissett and Robreana White in the parking lot of a CVS Pharmacy at the corner of University Drive and Mill Avenue. Scroggins was in his car when he was allegedly shot by Blissett. He passed out while trying to drive away.

Scroggins was taken to a hospital, where he died.

Blissett and White fled the scene and were apprehended in Alamogordo, New Mexico by a team of police and U.S. marshals.

Blissett, 19, was charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, discharging a firearm at a structure, participation in a criminal syndicate, illegal control of an enterprise and transporting persons for prostitution.

White, 18, was charged with illegal control of an enterprise.
