PHOENIX — The judge presiding over the Jodi Arias penalty phase retrial has taken into consideration a motion for less restrictive camera coverage.

The penalty phase retrial is set to begin Sept. 29.

In the meantime, the convicted killer is selling a pair of glasses online that she wore during her trial last year.

The penalty phase retrial had been scheduled to begin last week but a judge allowed a
postponement after Arias decided she wanted to represent herself. Arias has
since abandoned the idea.

Arias was convicted of murder last year in the 2008 killing of her ex-boyfriend
at his Mesa home, but jurors couldn’t reach a decision on her
sentence. The retrial will determine if she gets the death penalty or life in
prison.

Bidding on the glasses opened Sunday, starting at $500 and was scheduled to end Sept. 24.

According to the site, the proceeds will be turned over to an unidentified nonprofit.

The next court dates were set for Tuesday and Sept. 22.
