Phoenix Fire: Adult woman drowns in pool

PHOENIX — An adult woman was found deceased Thursday after drowning in a pool, the Phoenix Fire Department said in an email.
Officials received an emergency call to a home near 18th Street and Winchcomb. When crews arrived, they found the victim in the pool with “obvious signs of being deceased.”
A different elderly woman was found in the house. She had fallen out of bed and had been lying there at least one day. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The drowning victim has not been identified.
