A deeper look at problems within the VA

PHOENIX — Phoenix, along with the rest of the nation, was stunned when whistle blowers revealed thousands of veterans were waiting hundreds of days for primary medical care at the VA.
As the fallout has continued, leaders in the Phoenix VA were fired shortly before former VA head Gen. Eric Shinseki resigned.
After their removal, it was revealed more than 100,000 veterans were still seeking care from the VA.
