PCH to open new facility in East Valley

PHOENIX — Phoenix Children’s Hospital is making preparations to open a new facility inside Dignity Health’s Mercy Gilbert Medical Center in October.
Dr. Ryan Bode with PCH said the new facility will provide a big service for the East Valley community.
“It’s been over a year-long planning process for this unit and we involved (the community) initially with stakeholders meetings and getting their input and they expressed their excitement over this announcement,” he said.
Bode said the new facility will contain 22 beds and will provide pediatric in-patient care for short-term child patients.
