Phoenix DJ houses homeless mother and daughter

May 29, 2014, 11:53 AM | Updated: 2:19 pm

Ramses Ja has a non-profit called Lunch Bags that hands out food to the homeless in Phoenix.

At the last outing, he noticed a little girl digging through the trash and approached her. He found out that the 5-year-old and her mom are homeless. They can’t stay in a shelter because kids aren’t allowed.

Ramses, a disk jockey at 101.1 The Beat, felt so compelled to help that he gave them all the money he had in his wallet. It was about $25 and he didn’t feel like that was enough.

He asked the mom to give him 48 hours to help — and help he did.

Check out his video to find out what happened next.

We want to hear from you.
