PHOENIX — Police are searching for a woman who is allegedly cashing stolen checks in the Phoenix area.

In January, an unknown person broke into several cars at an LA Fitness location in Oro Valley, Ariz. Multiple checks from two of the victims have allegedly been cashed by the same suspect.

It is believed the suspect has cashed more than $25,000 in fraudulent checks.

The suspect is described as being a white female in her late 40s or early 50s. She has brown hair and drives a newer black or grey Mercedes S-class.

Anyone with information on these crimes is asked to contact the Oro Valley Police Department at (520) 229-4900 or 911.

We want to hear from you.
