Arizona’s favorite band is Linkin Park?

PHOENIX — The music tastes of Arizona appear to lean towards alternative rock, a music blog said.

The blog, Music Machinery, is authored by Paul Lamere, a director of a music intelligence company. According to him, Arizona’s favorite band is Linkin Park.

While music tastes vary greatly from person to person, Lamere used data from popular online streaming service Spotify to study how many plays each band received. He compared the top bands to plays in other states and regions and, lo and behold, Linkin Park won out as Arizona’s top band.

Lamere assembled a map of each state’s favorite artist as part of his study. It’s pretty interesting to see which band takes the cake across the nation.
