Officer crashes motorcycle, closes Loop 101 south

PHOENIX — A Scottsdale motorcycle officer crashed on the freeway Tuesday morning, forcing closure of part of southbound Loop 101.

The accident shut down the road at Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard. The officer’s injuries were not life-threatening.

The freeway was reopened about 2:45 p.m.
