DOC officer arrested for sex with inmate

PHOENIX — An Arizona Department of Corrections officer has been arrested on suspicion of having sex with an inmate.
Anthony Marotta, 26, allegedly had sex with an unidentified female inmate in a prison van on Tuesday.
Authorities say the female inmate admitted to having another encounter with Marotta in November.
Marotta was arrested at the Arizona State Prison Complex-Perryville. He was transferred to the facility July 5, 2013, after working about two years at the Arizona State Prison Complex-Lewis.
Marotta resigned during the investigation.
