PHOENIX — Several people were evacuated from a Phoenix hotel Friday evening after someone threw a rock through one of the windows.
The incident happened shortly after 6 p.m. at the Clarendon Hotel, near 7th Avenue and Indian School Road.
Hotel owner Ben Bethel said someone set off smoke bombs near one of the restaurant’s windows, and then broke the window by throwing a rock through.
“Once the window was broken it created some panic in the restaurant, but everybody evacuated safely,” said Bethel.
Nobody was injured in the incident.
Bethel said the hotel is offering a $10,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest of those responsible.
