Arizona Humane Society tries to find home for rescued dog

Oct 19, 2013, 11:59 AM | Updated: 11:59 am

PHOENIX — Ashley Goebel with the Arizona Humane Society brought a rescued dog with her for a visit with KTAR’s 92.3’s Arizona Morning News Weekend and shared her story Saturday morning.

Ryder, a female pit bull, was found hanging from a door knob in a bedroom when police were investigating a domestic violence call. Ryder weighed only 24 pounds at the time and couldn’t stand when she was initially taken in by the Humane Society.

Goebel said Ryder is doing much better after receiving extensive medical care, food and love over the past couple of weeks.

Ryder is ready for a foster home and a family that will take her in, love her and stick to a feeding schedule.

We want to hear from you.
