Crash closes westbound Interstate 10 near Casa Grande

PHOENIX — Westbound Interstate 10 was closed Thursday after a serious crash, the Arizona Department of Transportation said.

The crash occurred about 6 p.m.

Traffic was being removed from the highway at milepost 185 to State Route 147. To get back to I-10, drivers were routed to South Casa Grande Road, then to Bluebird Road and then to Casa Blanca Road to meet up with the highway. The detour is about 15 miles.

No eastbound lanes were affected.
