Scottsdale police working standoff situation

PHOENIX — The Scottsdale Police Department was trying to negotiate with a man Monday evening who has felony warrants and broke into a relative’s house.

A department spokesman said the standoff happened in the DC Ranch neighborhood off Pima Road north of the Loop 101.

The man, whose name was not released, refused to come out of the home.

No hostages or weapons were reported at the scene.

Scottsdale police didn’t provide an update on the situation as of Monday night.
