ASU alum hopes to make big splash with line of Arizona teams toys

Hey, Valley sports fans: a new line of minifigure toys features Arizona State University, the Arizona Cardinals and the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Tom Skripps, president of Massachusetts-based Oyo Sportstoys said he came up with the idea after looking for toys for his kids at a ballgame and not finding anything suitable.
Skripps, who went to ASU, said, “I thought, ‘Hey, I should make sports minifigures.’ ”
The ASU minifigures aren’t modeled after specific players, but the other teams are.
Popular Pro Bowl receiver Larry Fitzgerald is featured, along with a half-dozen D-backs, among them first baseman Paul Goldschmidt.
The toys, which come with a trading card and start around $12, are available online or at select Phoenix-area Walmarts.
