PHOENIX — A Valley man was sentenced to 14 years in prison after police found a duffel bag containing child pornography and methamphetamine.
The duffel bag was found near a dumpster by a Peoria home last August. Inside was nearly 100 printed pornographic images of children and a wallet belonging to Brian Fortner.
“In the duffel bag, in addition to pictures that were sexually exploitative, there were films — hours of footage — a lot of it taken from social websites that showed competitions, gymnastics and fashion shows,” said Arizona Attorney General Tom Horne.
Nearly all the girls in the videos and photos appeared to be under 13-years-old.
“[Girls] in sexually exploitative pictures are damaged psychologically for life,” said Horne. “We have to stop the market if we’re going to stop the supply. We regard this as an extremely serious crime.”
A vehicle matching the description to one owned by Fortner was also seen several times around the dumpster.
