PHOENIX — KTAR 92.3 FM said goodbye to Gayle Bass on Saturday.

The co-host of the “Arizona’s Morning News Weekend” show called it quits after more than 15 years on air at KTAR. She is leaving to concentrate on her national television show “RightThisMinute,” which airs on more 120 television stations across the country.

Bass started with KTAR in 1998 as an overnight news anchor. She served as a reporter, anchor and movie critic. Most recently, she was the “Click Chick” who did entertainment reports on “Arizona’s Morning News with Ned and Connie.”

On her final show Saturday, Bass was joined by her co-host, KTAR’s Bob McClay, who presented her with a going-away cake on the air. Also appearing by phone on the program to wish her good luck were KTAR reporter Jim Cross, weekend talk show host Jay Lawrence and former KTAR news director Andy Friedman, who hired Bass 15 years ago.

We want to hear from you.
