Fatal accident shuts down part of 35th Avenue

PHOENIX — One person is dead Monday morning after a head-on collision on a west Phoenix street.
Police have shut down 35th Avenue between Maryland and Glendale avenues to investigate. The accident occurred at 4:30 a.m.
A woman died after crossing the median on 35th Avenue and hitting a car with two people. The driver and passenger of that car are expected to recover.
No other details were immediately available.
