Dean Peak Fire containment nearly complete

KINGMAN, Ariz. — Fire officials said Monday morning that the Dean Peak Fire is 90 percent contained.

Evacuees have been allowed to return to the communities of Pine Lake, Pinion Pines and Getz Ranch. The evacuation order was lifted Sunday morning, when the blaze had reached 65 percent containment.

The blaze in the Hualapai Mountains began June 29, ignited by a lightning strike.
