Arizona State University student Dalyn Gilbert hopes to be a man on a mission. To Mars.
He really enjoys learning about space, so what way better to learn to than a trip to Mars? The aerospace engineering student from Mesa has applied for the Mars One mission.
The group behind the venture hopes to have humans inhabit the Red Planet in 2023. Those selected will undergo eight years of training, according to the site.
In his application video, the 20-year-old said he’s not afraid of anything and as a Valley resident can already drive through a dust storm.
Nice touch.
