Tempe apartment management, city officials working to get residents back in homes after pipe burst

May 10, 2013, 5:21 PM

TEMPE, Ariz. — Earlier this week, the West 6th Tempe luxury apartment complex experienced a water pipe burst.

The burst happened in Tower 1 on Wednesday and caused damage to several floors. Problems also arose with the electrical wiring, and the power was shut off in the building to accommodate repairs.

West 6th is working with City of Tempe police and fire to help rectify the problems.

Management has offered hotel accommodations and daily food stipends to the residents of Tower 1 through Monday, while they continue working on the electrical repairs.

Residents are expected to return to their apartments this weekend.
