A woman impersonating Arizona native and two-time champion rodeo star Sherry Cervi pleaded guilty Thursday to five counts of mail fraud.
According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, 39-year-old Susan Rowan from Vanderbilt, Penn., posed as Cervi to receive cell phones and saddles. Prosecutors will likely try to contend that Rowan’s actions cost $432,000 to Sprint Communications and $8,000 to a saddle manufacturer at her July 2 sentencing.
Assistant U.S. Attorney James Kitchen noted that Rowan received over 500 Sprint phones and two personalized saddles.
