For those looking for a new city to call home, Phoenix seems to be a popular destination.

According to the Phoenix Business Journal, Phoenix ranked seventh on NerdWallet’s list of the top 10 most desirable cities for homeowners.

Along with average cost of living and moderate median income, the scoring was done according to three simple questions: are homes available?, are homes affordable? and is the city likely to grow in upcoming years?

Fort Worth, Charlotte and San Antonio were the top-ranked cities on the list.

The nation’s overall home ownership rate (65.4 percent) is the lowest its been in 16 years, however the Phoenix Business Journal cited a Prudential Real Estate poll that showed that 96 percent of Americans find the topic of home ownership important.
