Arizona warning business owners of new scam

A new scam is costing Arizona business owners a pretty penny.
A group who identifies themselves as the Corporate Records Service is contacting businesses and demanding a $125 fee to register with their company, despite it not being state law.
“The Arizona Corporation Commission does not require business owners to file with any so-called Corporate Records Service,” said Bob Stump with the Arizona Corporation Commission.
Business owners who have received the letter or is concerned they may have can contact the Arizona Attorney General’s Office in Phoenix at(602) 542-5763, in Tucson at (520) 628-6504 or outside the Phoenix and Tucson metro areas at (800) 352-8431.
