Arizona Republican Congressman and soon-to-be Senator Jeff Flake said he expects the house to pass a senate-approved deal to save the nation from going off the fiscal cliff. The Senate voted 89-8 to put off the budget cuts and tax hikes for two months.
“With a lop-sided vote like that in the Senate I have to assume it will pass the House.”
Flake said he is troubled by the two-month delay.
“Particularly on the spending side. We have to cut entitlement spending and the Senate package fails to do that. It does deal with the tax side and that’s a good thing.”
Flake said you have yet to see the last high wire act in Washington with the debt ceiling debate heating up in about two months.
