Google Helpouts

Apr 24, 2014, 12:00 PM | Updated: 12:00 pm

The Internet is an awesome place to find just about any information on just about anything you need help with.

But sometimes you really need to consult an expert when you’re trying to pull off an amazing dinner party or a do it yourself project around the house.

Based on that concept, Google launched Helpouts last year that leverages live video on their Hangouts platform with experts in virtually every anything.

Some of the Helpouts are free, but most of experts charge by the minute or have packages in 30 minute or one hour segments.

Want rock guitar lessons? Matt charges 45 cents per minute. Want personal instructions on how to use your camera and edit the images afterwards? Brian charges $15 for 30 minutes.

You can get Helpouts in Art and Music, cooking, technology, education, fashion, fitness, health, as well as home and garden.

If you’ve got a webcam and a Google account, you’ve got everything you need to either ask for or offer Helpouts. Could be an easy way to make some extra money sharing your knowledge!

Sound intriguing? See how it all works at Helpouts.google.com
