What’s it like to be a single teen mom?

In our parents’ day — certainly our grandparents — when girls got pregnant, they were whispered about, often shamed and sometimes sent to visit family in another state. Even if young women were married, there were always those who counted the “appropriate” number of months it had been since the wedding.
That’s the way it was with many in east Texas where Debbie Gaby grew up. She was married to one of the town “bad boys,” had a baby girl, left and tried to find a life on her own as a single mom.
As many of you know, she eventually found that life as the executive face of Sleep America here in Arizona. Debbie Gaby answers the question, “What’s it like to be a single teen mom?”
