    thats not a decent route? Thats a direct route. we also do not want people from the arm pit of AZ to break down in the phx area. Plus, the direct route to Vegas is state highways that are not that good. A freeway would help to connect two major metropolitan's.

    rather have the high speed train so I can sit back and have a few before I get there and not have to worry about the drive back after I lost a few bills

    Actually, I was thinking more about the crappy two-lane between Phoenix and Flagstaff. If *anything* goes wrong now (and it often does), you are trapped for hours waiting (my personal worst was 5 hours at a stand still...).
