Valley pilots from Flights for Life are donating their time to take medical supplies to the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
KTAR's Pamela Hughes called Sunday afternoon and said two of their planes just left Waco, Texas. They are about two hours away from Baton Rouge with supplies.
The supplies came from Phoenix Memorial Hospital.
"They need everything. I was very much a part of the Bosnian War and this is nothing compared to that," says hospital CEO Sonya Hagel.
The hospital donated all the supplies the planes can hold.
They left Sunday morning from Williams Gateway Airport.
