Crews control fire from punctured gas line

PRESCOTT, Ariz. (AP)- Prescott authorities battled a fire that began after a truck reportedly ruptured a natural gas line in northwest Prescott Wednesday afternoon.
It took 40 Yavapai County and City of Prescott safety personnel 2 1/2 to 3 hours to control the fire.
A Prescott Fire Department spokesman said a crimping device is being brought into further cap the damaged pipeline.
Unisource Energy Services is scheduled to resume gas service to area residents Thursday morning.
APS has already restored electricity to the area.
Prescott Emergency Services Director Darrell Willis said the fire engulfed several service vehicles. No injuries are reported.
