WASHINGTON - Senator John McCain is taking his former running mate's side in a feud between Gov. Sarah Palin and David Letterman.
The late-night host is taking heat for jokes about Palin's daughter regarding their recent trip to New York.
McCain said one joke in particular went way too far whe Letterman said Sarah Palin's daughter was "knocked up by Alex Rodriguez."
"I hope that remarks like that are out of bounds. She is a 14-year-old girl and to be referred to in that fashion is highly inappropriate," said the Arizona senator.
Letterman's joke was apparently referring to Palin's 18-year-old daughter Bristol.
Problem is, it was the governor's 14-year-old daughter who went with her to New York.
