The crew was doing a segment outside when a man sliced his wrists with a knife. Thankfully the gruesome incident was not televised.

According to witnesses the man from Queens was yelling about the IRS being corrupted and ruining his life. Police were forced to tackle him down and hold him until he could be rushed to the hospital.

No one else was injured and the man is expected to be OK.

And the CMT Performance of the Year award goes to...Miranda Lambert, who also took home the Female Video award for her song Mama's Broken Heart.

No word yet if the tour schedule has changed due to the circumstances.
