CHANDLER - If you're going to pack your kids lunch, here are ways to make healthy lunches kids will actually eat.
Packing lunches should happen more often says Cardon Children's Medical Center dietician Bailey Noble. "I definitely recommend that they pack their kids' lunch -- generally at least three days a week."
"Let's try and stay away from juices, cakes, cookies, things like that."
Some food ideas include "apple and peanut butter, celery and cream cheese and then adding some fruit and yogurt to it. So, nice and balanced."
Noble says get your kids involved and take them to the grocery store with you -- and focus on healthy foods.
"Keep it exciting. Look at kid friendly cookbooks." And she adds that you should use roasted deli meats -- not anything too processed.
