Though he died more than six years ago, Pat Tillman's death remains a hot topic.

The former Arizona State University and Arizona Cardinals football star died in Afghanistan in April 2004. The military initially said Tillman was killed by enemy fire in a fight with terrorists, but later said he died from friendly fire.

Richard Tillman, Pat's younger brother, recently discussed the tragedy on 'Real Time with Bill Maher'.

Richard was on Maher's show Friday, saying that what happened to his brother was "gross negligence" and "criminal."

Richard said, "I wish he would've just lit these [expletive] idiots up with his own gun, you know. 'Cause he knew that they were shooting at him. I wish he didn't have so much character, and he would've shot his own guys."

"I wish he would have been like, you guys are [expletive] clowns, and just lit 'em up," he added.

Unless you have been in combat you have no idea of everything that happens in a firefight!!! Your mind sees things in slow motion and you have no control over many of your muscle funtions. Many times troops have emrtied muliple clips of ammo without even knowing it. Our government has lied to us from the start and nothing Will change until we change our Government!!!

With all due respect and honor, this story is just tiresome. What about all of the other brave soldiers who are killed each day, with little recognition & fanfare. Pat was a local athlete that chose to walk away from a high paying job & become an honorable soldier. Besides that, he wouldn't even be recognize had he not played football. If they ever found this story to be more than friendly fire & basically a murder plot, then they could speak freely & continually.

I have had enough of the Tillman's. I realize that this may not be very popular, but when is enough, enough? Pat Tillman was a grown man that made a grown decision when he signed up to go into the Army. He knew what he was doing. He knew that he may have been killed. Who killed him and how is bad within itself. And it's not an excuse. What I have gathered is that maybe he thought the only thing that could take him down was Kryptonite!
