During a town hall meeting, dozens of south Phoenix residents have demanded police clean up their neighborhood.
The meeting was coordinated by Phoenix police after 16-year-old Melissa vigil was shot and killed this week.
The girl's aunt, Arcenia Guzman, was there. "She was coming home from a barbecue, dropping friends off and they made a wrong turn. They all ducked, but the only one who didn't get up was my niece."
Police say they are working 24-7 to solve the crime, but as time passes it's taking its toll on the girl's family. "My brother Michael is very, very shaken up because that was his princess."
She wants her niece's killers to turn themselves in. "Come forward. Come forward and give yourself to God."
Along with dozens of residents came together to tell police they want this crime solved... and they want south phoenix cleaned up.
"We've lost a lot of friends, a lot of family in this neighborhood that were shot for no apparent reason. And I tell my children a bullet has no name and it's always going to be the innocent victim that will find it."
Police want anyone with any information about this shooting to call them.
There will a car wash this Saturday at Cesar Chavez high school to help the family of Melissa Vigil. There is also an account set up at the Arizona Federal Credit Union to donate to the family.
