Arizona losing jobs to China

A new study says Arizona is losing thousands of jobs to China.

The Economic Policy Institute says the growth of U.S. trade with China since China entered the World Trade Organization seven years ago has had a devastating effect on U.S. workers and the economy.

Arizona has suffered a net loss of 43,300 jobs to China since 2001, 6,600 jobs were lost last year alone.

About 40 percent of the state's lost jobs were in the semiconductor and electronics manufacturing sector.

California has lost more than 300,000 jobs and Texas has lost 202,000 job.
