SURPRISE, Ariz. - A store security guard was kidnapped after catching three men loading bundles of cardboard onto their truck.

It happened at the Walmart near Bell Road and El Mirage.

Surprise Police Sgt. Mark Ortega said when the 60-year-old man followed the suspects out of the parking lot in his security vehicle, they confronted him. "One of the suspects actually came out of the truck and confronted him with a knife, got in his security vehicle and told him to follow the truck in front of him."

"They drove out of the city and they wound up way north on I-17 near Table Mesa Road. At that point, he said that suspects pulled over. One got out his vehicle, got back into the truck and he left the scene."

No one was hurt and police are still looking for the suspects.

You mean the security guard risked his life over cardboard? Talk about poor judgement. If the guard seriously thought the guys were doing something wrong, why didn't he call the PD before investigating?
